Passover Seder in Kotovskovo (Odessa, Ukraine) |
“Thank you for remembering us and helping us. We are truly grateful!” They express gratitude with such kindness repeatedly in home after home. During Purim and Passover outreaches, twenty-six Jewish souls were added to the Kingdom's Book of Life! 300 needy Jewish families were assisted with prayer and food packages. Additionally, Messianic youth events in Odessa gave their youth an opportunity to worship and fellowship.
Within the past several years, Jacob’s Hope has been heavily involved in resourcing three new Spirit-filled Messianic congregations in Ukraine: one in Kiev, two in the Odessa area. We have facilitated a youth camp, a medical outreach, compassion food packages, and ESL classes, as well as preaching and teaching. Shortly after the New Jerusalem congregation became only five years old, they launched a second congregation “Aretz Israel” in the Kotovskovo district of Odessa! They also have plans to open another congregation in autumn of 2017! Collectively, these congregations have over 200 Jewish and Slavic people attending each week for their Shabbat services. JH has also been active in several other cities in Ukraine, including Crimea and the Southeast region near the war zone.
