Feast of Booths (Tabernacles) is underway here in ISRAEL. The Jewish people remember the time when they were wandering in the wilderness before they the LORD led them into the Promised Land. Please read Leviticus 23:33-43; John 1:14; John 7:1-39. 

Messiah's Compassion focuses on key partnerships with local Jewish Messianic fellowships. For the past three years each autumn, it has been awesome to serve right side by side with some dear leaders, workers, and congregation members. Return to Zion congregation in Haifa faithfully reaches out to the local Jewish community with various projects: providing hot meals for Israeli seniors, and necessary home items for new immigrants (Jewish people returning to Israel). Despite threats of rocket attacks from terrorists' groups in Iran and Lebanon, they continue to preach, teach, and serve Jewish people in practical ways.

Would you please intercede for Messiah's Compassion to be most effective during these next crucial weeks of ministry in ISRAEL? It is a privilege to serve Jewish people, but it often comes with intensive spiritual warfare, even bringing opposition, confusion, doubt, fear and restlessness before the spiritual breakthroughs. Pray for unity and cohesiveness among the members of the local Jewish Messianic fellowships. The enemy often tries to divide them with bouts of misunderstanding and discouragement. Jeff recently preached from Colossians 3:1-5, prioritizing seeking heavenly realities.

Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, the prolonged war in Israel, and various reasons, Jeff has not been able to do a complete itineration (visiting churches stateside) since 2015. Messiah's Compassion completely depends on individuals and congregations who feel led to financially support and pray for this ministry.

Thank each one of you who give and pray for this ministry to Jewish people! Opportunities are abounding, and there is a greater openness to share Jesus (Yeshua) as Messiah during this season! More updates from ISRAEL and Ukraine will be forthcoming.

It has been so wonderful to pray for several Jewish people who have needs for healing and encouragement. Please continue to pray that we will be in step with the Holy Spirit's guidance as we serve and pray for Jewish people here in the Promised Land.

Praying, preparing hearts in Israel

Leaders in "Or Chai" Jewish Messianic congregation 

When Or Chai opened for its first service in northern Israel, in the Autumn of 2023, it was just weeks prior to the tragic attack in southern Israel on October 7, 2023. I remember the leaders commenting on how the timing could give people an opportunity to come for the first time and seek spiritual answers, and encouragement, including prayer support for family members called up as army reservists. 

Messiah's Compassion has been involved in financial and prayer support for this new congregation, and it's been a privilege to attend and reconnect with the believers this past week. During the recent shabbat service, a number of people came forward to rededicate their hearts and lives to Messiah, renewing a commitment to follow the Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) of ISRAEL.

Anticipating the Biblical Autumn Holidays

 

Messiah's Compassion saw a blessed time of ministry recently among the Jewish people in west Ukraine, and a brief trip preparing food packages for elderly Jewish people in Kyiv, the capital as well. Thank you all for your prayers and steadfast support! 

The LORD opened the door to share music, song, and the Word in a Jewish Messianic congregation in Uzhhorod. We especially appreciated Rabbi Roman's prayer meetings and the fellowship with his family too. Encouraging leaders is part of what Messiah's Compassion regularly does among Messianic congregations in Ukraine and ISRAEL. Please pray for their physical protection, spiritual strength and wisdom as they lead their congregation during unstable times of war. Our LORD is able to sustain them by His Spirit.

Messiah's Compassion has been having some really blessed meetings with the Jewish communities in West Ukraine during August! Thanks for your prayers and steadfast support!

Pressing Forward despite War

   Jeff & Tanya visit Jewish special needs children / youth 

In Zaporozhe, SE Ukraine, Jeff C. has been grateful to be active in assisting Jewish people for over 10 years. Part of the outreach has included Jewish families who have disabled children or youth. It has been a privilege to stand, pray with, and serve these families who face many challenges in daily life, now adding to it a terrible ongoing war with drone and missile attacks. Thank you for praying for these specific Jewish families with special needs family members. May the light of the LORD's salvation and healing give them daily hope to keep going on day after day. Please pray for the local Jewish Messianic Pastor Alexander and his wife, Oksana who have faithfully served these Jewish families.  

Serving Jewish People

 

Previously this synagogue served the Jewish community in Kutná Hora, Czechia. During WW2 most synagogues were closed as the Jewish people was transferred to concentration camps. Please pray for the remaining thousands of Jewish people in Czech Republic. They need to receive words of hope and comfort.  

Meanwhile, Messiah's Compassion is reaching out to Jewish people in Ukraine and Israel. These recent years have been some of the most difficult due to wars and displacement of families, being separated. Please keep praying for Jewish people and Messiah's Compassion. Your prayers and support are greatly valued!
